Dr. Sorensen grew up in Clear Lake, graduating from Clear Lake High School. He attended the University of Iowa for both undergraduate (BS, Microbiology) and dental (Doctor of Dental Surgery) studies. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Sorensen was awarded the Delta Dental of Iowa Loan Repayment award, a highly competitive award given to dentists that provide dental care to underserved populations and practice in the State of Iowa.
Dr. Sorensen is a member of the American Dental Association, The Iowa Dental Association, and is a member of the North Central District of the Iowa.
Dr. Sorensen enjoys practicing Family Dentistry, and the relationships that come with seeing patients of all ages. Over the course of his career he has focused on comprehensive family dental care and has a particular interest for dental implant rehabilitation and orthodontics.
He has attended a mini-residency focusing on comprehensive treatment planning, prosthetic, and surgical applications of dental implants. Dr. Sorensen has enjoyed restoring patient’s mouths with implant procedures ranging from single tooth implants to full mouth implant restorations.
Dr. Sorensen also enjoys providing both traditional wire braces and clear aligners for patients of all ages. He holds proficiency in Invisalign Orthodontics, and has been named a “Preferred Provider” for many years since he began offering Invisalign in 2011. Dr. Sorensen also treats orthodontic patients with traditional wire braces. His training in wire braces included a two year education curriculum, graduating with highest honors from Progressive Orthodontics Seminars.
Dr. Sorensen and his wife, Nichole, have three children, Jude, Thea, and Isla. They enjoy spending time with family and friends and being outdoors with their dog, Journey. Dr. Sorensen is also a self-proclaimed amateur hockey player and participates in triathlons throughout the state of Iowa. He also serves on the board for the Clear Lake Sailing Center and enjoys watching his kids sail both competitively and for fun.
Dr. Matthew Meyers joined Clear Lake Family Dentistry in 2018. He is committed to providing quality dental care for his patients through continued dental education and advanced courses. He is passionate about creating beautiful smiles and promoting healthy dental care for patients of all ages. One area of dentistry where Dr. Meyers is passionate about is Implantology. Due to this, Dr. Meyers has taken extensive continuing education courses that allow him to offer implant placement and restoration to our patients at the office.
Dr. Meyers grew up in Pella, Iowa. Upon high school graduation, he attended Iowa State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He then attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, graduating in June 2018. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Iowa Academy of Comprehensive Dentistry (formerly North Iowa Seattle Study Club).
Dr. Meyers is married to Shelby Meyers, who is a hairstylist in Clear Lake. In their free time, they enjoy boating, golfing, and have recently taken up biking. They are also avid supporters of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Iowa Hawkeyes, when they aren’t playing each other, and they make it to a few games each year. Dr. Meyers and Shelby are happy to call Clear Lake home and look forward to becoming active in the community.
Dr. Ashley Scarrow began practicing in 2019. She is dedicated to providing patients of all ages with high quality dental care in a comfortable environment. She desires to establish lasting patient relationships where the needs of each individual are uniquely met while promoting excellent oral and systemic health in her patients.
Dr. Scarrow is an Iowan native, growing up in Clear Lake. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology. She remained in Iowa City for her graduate studies as well, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Dr. Scarrow was elected into the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Rural Dentist Program, which honors distinguished clinicians who have shown exceptional dedication to serve their rural community. She has volunteered to provide care to underserved populations through pediatric dental screenings and the Iowa Mission of Mercy. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Iowa Academy of Comprehensive Dentistry.
Dr. Scarrow and her husband, Steve, have two sons, Will and Tate. They enjoy going on walks as a family and spending time outdoors with their Labrador, Remy. They are excited to raise their children in their hometown and get involved in the community.
